Abstract:Considering the weaving of female images as a thematic axis that crosses the fairy tales, mini-stories and poems produced by Marina Colasanti, the present study aimed to verify how the author processes artistic representations related to the feminine in some short stories from the works Uma Ideia Toda Azul (1979) , Doze reis e a moça no labirinto do vento ( (1982), Entre a espada e a rosa (1992) and Longe como o meu querer (1998), in mini-stories from the books A morada do ser (1978), Zooilógico (1985), Contos de amor rasgados (1986) and in certain poems by the author, a genre in which she debuted in the 90s with the publication of Rota de colisão (1993) and Gargantas abertas (1998). Therefore, considering gender as a cultural category, questions related to women as a character were investigated in Marina Colasanti's textual universe, as a motive present in her prose and verses. Furthermore, scrutinizing issues related to the author's poetics, the creation of literary works of a hybrid nature was evidenced, resulting from the skillful intersection between prose and poetry: by incorporating lyrical elements in her short stories, Marina Colasanti produces “a prose that sings”; by interweaving narrative elements in some of her poems, the author produces “a poetry that narrates”.
